ECOWAS Gender Ministry ORGANIZED NATIONAL WORKSHOP ON THE PREVENTION OF GENDER-BASED VIOLENCE IN GHANA
The activity, held in partnership with Ghana’s Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Welfare, brought together representatives from ministries, civil society, security force,s and the ECOWAS National Office. Participants strengthened their capacities on the judicial, medica,l and psychosocial care of GBV survivors, while emphasising confidentiality and victim protection.
The workshop resulted in the adoption of a national roadmap for the dissemination of tools to combat GBV and sexual harassment, as well as a call for zero tolerance of such violence in Ghana.
