Manso Tontokrom’s District Chief Executive (DCE), Iddrisu Haruna, has passionately defended the performance of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government, stating that while many communities in Ghana may feel neglected, Tontokrom is an exception. He attributed this to the government’s remarkable interventions in addressing the community’s mining challenges and driving local development.

Speaking at a rally held at the Manso Tontokrom Park on Tuesday, November 3, 2024, DCE Haruna expressed gratitude to the NPP government, emphasizing its commitment to policies that have transformed the lives of residents. The rally was organized in support of the party’s parliamentary candidate, Hon. Yaw Frimpong Addo, who is vying for reelection.

“Our mining issues, which were a major concern for the people of Tontokrom, have been resolved under this government. They have proven that they can deliver, and we must give them another chance to continue their good work,” DCE Haruna stated.

He further appealed to residents to recognize the significance of the upcoming elections, highlighting the importance of unity and continuity. He noted that Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the NPP’s presidential candidate, holds the number one position on the ballot paper, as does Hon. Yaw Frimpong Addo for the parliamentary race. He urged the people of Tontokrom to rally behind both candidates to ensure victory in the 2024 elections.

“Number one is symbolic. It signifies excellence, leadership, and continuity. Dr. Bawumia is number one, and Hon. Yaw Frimpong Addo is also number one. Let’s vote massively for them to continue the good work started by President Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo,” he said.

The rally was marked by enthusiastic support from party faithful, with Hon. Yaw Frimpong Addo and his campaign team expressing confidence in securing victory. As election day approaches, the NPP is intensifying its efforts to consolidate its gains in the Amansie South District and beyond.
